Thanks for taking me in

I've discovered Loreena's music as a teenager (back when I played Irish traditional music)

and just can't stop listening to all her songs till this day (and that means over 10 years growing love towards everything that lady does

). As a former musician I just can't stop admiring what she does, especially that

there isn't that much magic in contemporary music anymore.

I remember sitting in the university's library - back in the days when I studied ancient history - at some point

my mp3 player played Full circle... It was a magical evening - I was reading something about first dynasty of pharaos

in ancient Egypt and the music fitted so well into the scenery - to this day I can still see a image of the sun setting over pyramids, the sky full of gentle shades of purple, gold and red and a lonely farmer who stood a top a hill and watched the scenery captured by its beauty, unable to move or make a sound.

Well, I felt like that farmer and still do whenever I listen to that music

So thanks again :*

You're so welcome...although so is everyone else, so joining requests are automatic and there's literally nothing to thank me or any of the other admins for!

This'll be just what we need; some new membership. We're very inactive at the moment, for various reasons, but please don't stop submitting your art! At the very least I'm keeping an eye on things, even if I have nothing to contribute most of the time.

Thanks for your inspiring story. More so than any other artist, it seems that there's always a magical moment of discovery for every fan of Loreena's music.

...when you're feeling adventurous, perhaps you could recreate that farmer/sunset/pyramids scene in the form of a full-colour illustration?

Yes I know that accepting new members is automatic

and thou it probably lacks any logic it's still nice to be

taken into a group, so to speak xD

And yes, her music has always been inspirational,

all those fabulous songs, older and new generate countless

images in ones mind, but about that farmer - I don't cope

with colors, it would seam they're outside my reach, sadly.

It's just one more image that may or may not find its way into

a piece of paper, we shall see

I also wrote something

that would cope with "Old Ways" but alas English is my

third language and translating from Polish which is my native

one is like... Trying to fit an elephant into a matchbox if you

know what I mean xD (too many words that exist only in Polish,

too many idioms and word-games that just don't work in English <.<').

But again I'll try to come up with one of the above in the future ^^

And about the inactivity it's ok as long as somebody - like you

shows his/hers virtual face from time to time, just to let me know

that some peeps here are still alive xD Some groups just work better

in "slow motion" I guess

Hence why I said "when you're feeling adventurous" Keep practising, and I'm sure you'll get your head around colours eventually!

So upload it in Polish. I know it may seem like it sometimes, but the English language doesn't rule the world. Your poetry is just as valid in Polish; the fact that not as many people will understand it shouldn't be an influential factor in deciding whether or not to share it with the world. We're about quality, not quantity here at DeviantArt...
